About Us

Our History

STUDS Football began in the Summer of 2019 as a youth football camp designed to teach the fundamentals of football through the acronym S.T.U.D.S.

SKILLS, TECHNIQUES, UNDERSTANDING the game, DISCIPLINE, SPORTSMANSHIP

Our first camp was also an opportunity for local high school football coaches, that are opponents in the Fall, to come together and teach the game of football to the youth of Collier County. STUDS Camp was an immediate hit. The STUDS Bowl, an end-of-the-week flag football game, between the Red and the Blue, was born.

In 2021, we expanded to two weeks of camp and both weeks sold out quickly. STUDS Camp 2021 featured more great coaches and many great athletes. One noticeable piece of data emerged from STUDS 2021 – most of our STUDS were kids from North Naples or North Collier County.

Our Format

The original format of Fundamentals, Flag Football and Fun, was great, but we realized that it was not developing our athletes for their futures playing tackle football. After realizing that North Naples area kids do not have many youth football opportunities in their neighborhoods and school zones, changing our camp format to better serve our base of players in the area made sense.

STUDS Camp 2022 will be two exciting, team building weeks, held at North Collier Regional Park, June 13-17, and June 20-24, 2022. The camp will be open to everyone, but specifically football players entering grades 5 thru 8 that intend on playing high school football for their zoned school. The camp will feature our new STUDS Football partner, GULF COAST PERFORMANCE, led by athletic strength and conditioning coach Arch Souvenir  www.gulfcoastperform.com

The daily football portion of the camp will be led by Chris House, a varsity assistant coach at Barron Collier High School and he will be accompanied by other members of the BCHS staff and coaches from the other high schools in the North Naples area. The focus will be on learning high school football offenses and defenses, highlighted with competitive 7 on 7 Passing sessions daily. Linemen will receive instruction from the best OL/DL coaches in Collier County.

Our Vision

The vision of STUDS Football is to build an extensive training program for the athletes of the North Naples/North Collier County area. In addition to the two weeks of STUDS Camp 2022 this summer, our goal is to also build a competitive 7 on 7 travel program and to assist and sponsor like-minded programs that aim to serve the athletes and families in the aforementioned school zones.

STUDS Football strongly believes that high school football players should Stay and Play in Their Zone.  Kids should play with their friends and buddies that they grow up with. Unfortunately, there are influencers out there that tell players to leave their friends and leave their school, promising greener pastures elsewhere.  A kid that tells his buddies, “I’m going to another school to play against you, not with you” is being fed false promises by recruiters. It’s wrong, and it’s sad. Football builds friendships and relationships for life.  We value that unique aspect of the greatest game in the world.  Join STUDS Football, and Rep Your Zone!

Our Families

“My son has been working with both STUDS Football camp and Gulf Coast Performance (GCP) for the past 3 years. It’s exciting to see STUDS and GCP partnering up to develop the next generation of elite athletes in football, and in all sports. The staff at both programs, now joining forces for this summer’s camp, promises to deliver a powerful, high-impact experience to help all young athletes excel and optimize their potential into explosive on-the-field performance.”

Chris House, Football Coach and Director

Chris House is a Varsity Assistant Football Coach at Barron Collier High School, the Athletic Director at Naples Classical Academy, and the owner of Houseteam Sports Management, the company that operates STUDS Football Camp.

Coach House has 30 years of football experience, including 16 seasons as a NCAA assistant coach, coordinator or head coach, 10 seasons in Collier County high school football as an assistant coach or coordinator at BCHS & CSN, and 4 seasons as a letterman & team captain at NCAA D-3 Curry College.

Coach House believes strongly that high school football should be a rewarding experience for all involved. Players should have fun first, with their friends & family, work hard, compete & win, and make memories that last a lifetime. Most importantly, stay in your zone, stay at your school, and resist the temptation of false promises presented by outsiders. If your goal is to play college football, the door to that opportunity is wider at home.
